Rev. Eric A. Brown Senior Pastor

The Reverend Eric Anthony Brown serves as our Senior Pastor here at New Jerusalem. Our ministry seeks to connect cultures as well as serve as an agent of spiritual transformation through empowering individuals to infect and influence their surroundings by being leaders in Christ. In addition to Pastor Brown’s assignment at New Jerusalem, he also serves as the Vice-President of the Greenville Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and is the founder and CEO of Eric Brown Ministries.

Accepting his calling into ministry in 2006, ordained in 2010, Pastor Brown is an innovative speaker, with a unique blend of a traditional and contemporary style. He uses theologically sound sermons with uplifting methods to equip, enrich, and empower people for life’s challenges.

Among the grace gifts and talents with which God has blessed Pastor Brown, none of them are more meaningful to him than preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He believes that God has entrusted His Word to him and people’s lives are dependent on sound biblical teaching and preaching. His commitment to be used by God to preach in excellence has led hundreds to new life in Christ.

Rev. Eric Brown is a native of Garland, Texas. He holds the Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas. He is currently seeking to further his education aiming for a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Care. Pastor Brown is married to the lovely Anissa T. Brown.

Deacon & Deaconess

This ministry is designed to cultivate deacons/ deaconess in their roles and responsibilities as it pertains to serving as biblical deacons.

Facilities

The purpose of this area is to ensure that the physical assets that are needed by the church are acquired and properly maintained.

Finance Team

The purpose of this department is to ensure that all financial records are properly maintained.

Transportation

The purpose of this ministry is to provide disabled persons and, or persons w/o transportation to weekly worship services.

EDUCATIONAL MINISTRY

Sunday School

The purpose of Sunday School is to provide participants with instructional courses w/ fundamental biblical principles.

Wednesdays in The Word

The purpose of the weekly bible classes is to provide members with an educational ground that will allow them to connect and cultivate spiritually as they explore God’s Word.

Youth Ministry

The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to minister to the youth of our congregation and the greater community through the Love of Jesus Christ.

FELLOWSHIP / WORSHIP

Culinary Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to provide physical nourishment to our congregation and the community.

First Impressions Ministry

Greeters & Usher Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to welcome and serve members and guests. Duties also include: being attentive to congregational needs, establish offering procedures, greet guest and check finals details at the close of service.

Music Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to lead and facilitate the musical atmosphere of our church service locally and beyond the local assembly.

OUTREACH / EVANGELISM

Evangelism Ministry

This purpose of the ministry is designed to connect community to church through varies outlets

Mission Ministry

This ministry is designed to reach out and assist Christians and non Christians in need physically and spiritually.

Ministry of Visitation

The purpose of this ministry is to make home visits to the sick and shut-in providing scripture, prayer, and the Lord’s Supper.

Nursing Home Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is designed to visit persons in the nursing facility providing them with scripture, prayer and The Lord’s Supper.

COVID-19 PROCEDURES AND INFORMATION

At New Jerusalem we are very concerned about the safety and health of our members, administrative staff and community at large. We are strictly following the guidelines and recommendations of our federal, state and local authorities along with the health professionals and information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We are requiring the following procedures on our campus: (1) Face covering, (2) Temperature Check, (3) Social Distancing and we don’t want to leave out the use of God-given common sense.

Although we have begin to reunite our worshipers with in-person worship services, please do not attend service in person if you are not felling well, you have been around someone who has been exposed to the virus, or if you are concerned due to personal underlying conditions.
